How can i install two wireless routers on a network? I recently purchased a new Linksys wireless router and replaced my older D Link router. The LinkSysm does have better range. But, the D Link still worked OK. Can I run a network (CAT 5) connection to the opposite end of the house and plug the I simply added a range extender to support wireless access in a 3 floors house. I managed to make the router function, but it showed up as if I created a new network, but I'd like to be the n300 on the same network as the first router. The easiest way to connect two routers is by using Ethernet. A second (new) router which doesn’t have wireless capability must be connected to the first (existing) router via an Ethernet cable. Plug one end of the cable into the new router’s WAN port and Plug the other end into any free port on the first router other than its WAN port.
